So much of what Gresham’s offers today is with thanks to the support of others. Whether it is the intricacies of the academic, extra-curricular or pastoral support that the School offers, the excellent and much used buildings and facilities that we have in place, or the many opportunities that are provided each year to pupils by way of scholarship and bursarial support, this has been realised in no small part by philanthropy and other efforts by our supporters.
WIDENING ACCESS
Thanks to donor support, more than a third of the bursary programme is funded by the Gresham’s Foundation each year. The School has also been able to launch an ambitious STEAM outreach programme which over 1,000 local state school pupils have benefited from.
Gresham’s life
The Britten Building and Cricket Pavilion were both built thanks to your support. Sport, Music and Drama have also expanded their programmes thanks to support from donors, whilst other departments have been able to purchase equipment for pupils to use thanks to support from the Foundation’s Unrestricted Fund.
SHARING KNOWLEDGE
In the last three years, more than 150 OGs have either given careers talks or offered careers support to current pupils. Work experience and mentoring has also been provided by many members of the Gresham’s community. This is extremely welcomed and adds so much to the pupils’ time at Gresham’s.

“Although I only attended Gresham’s for two years in the Sixth Form, the scholarship the school gave me from a local high school was one of the most transformational moments of my life enabling both my future studies at Oxford University and also my enjoyment of many other things including history, rugby and teamwork in general.
