Boredom is never an option at Gresham’s! We do our utmost to ensure that boarders have both the freedom to relax with friends and the opportunity to join organised weekend trips and activities.
Big screen films, wine and cheese evenings for Sixth Formers and informal socials are common events at Gresham’s on a Saturday evening. These are very popular with the boarders with each House hosting a pizza-making evening, a Barbeque, quiz night etc. Activities on Sundays are hugely varied, from our annual Karting Grand Prix, Paintball trips, white-water rafting excursions and days on the beach, use of our amazing woodland high ropes area and obstacles courses, cultural and sightseeing trips to Cambridge, visits to local seaside towns and shopping in beautiful Norwich; they are all eagerly anticipated by boarders and day students alike. Everyone is welcome!
Boarding Activities reflect pupil choice, and we aim to make these excursions fun opportunities which make the most of the beautiful North Norfolk area whilst affording opportunity for the students to get off campus.
Downtime and relaxation in Boarding Houses is equally important, so whether you want to relax with a movie and some popcorn or embark on an outdoor adventure, we will always have something to do at the weekends.
In addition to organised weekend activities, the Sports Hall and Swimming Pool are available for boarders’ use, as well a timetable of hobbies and clubs which are available throughout the week.
