We aim to promote a healthy attitude toward food and nutrition, and our catering teams work hard to provide fresh and nutritionally balanced meals every day.
Our extensive menus offer plenty of choice for a range of tastes, with at least four different hot options available at mealtimes, in addition to filled rolls, wraps and daily soups. A healthy selection of fresh fruit and a large assortment of salads is always available, as is a tasty choice of puddings and yoghurts.
We strive to keep menus and meals interesting, with a constantly changing selection of menus. Exposure to international cuisines is another principal priority, and students can expect to encounter culturally diverse culinary options each week, from Indonesian chicken to grilled Mediterranean peppers. Our kitchens also work hard to inject an element of fun into mealtimes, hosting regular theme days and providing treats such as pancakes on Shrove Tuesday and haggis on Robbie Burns day.
Using fresh, locally produced and whenever possible, organic produce is also a top priority, and we do our best to support East Anglian farmers and use seasonal products as much as we can.
